Glow Getter: How I Get My Glow

Are you a glow getter? What does having a “glow” mean to you? From the moment I saw this t-shirt I knew it belonged in my collection of graphic tees. After seeing it, I then looked up the exact definition which is below.
Glow Getter: (noun) A driven busy gal who strives to achieve her goals while attaining a beautiful glow both inside and out.
First of all, I think that feeling “beautiful” on the inside and outside is something that we all strive for. The word “beautiful” means different things to different people and I am not going to touch that topic today. That being said, what I am going to talk about is a few things that I do to keep my skin “glowing”.
Glow Getter: How I Keep My Skin Glowing
Water, water, and more water. Yes, I drink lots of water. Personally I strive for my body weight in ounces of water each and every day. In summer months, I drink even more. I start every morning by measuring filtered water into a pitcher and leave it on the counter.
Powdered greens and electrolytes. This has been my go to brand of powdered fruits and greens for years now. 20 servings of fruits and veggies plus a probiotic mix in a little scoop…amazing. Since some issues with dehydration this last year I upped my greens game by adding electrolytes with them. My formula is a scoop of greens, a scoop of electrolytes, a splash of lemon juice, 1/8 tspn of pink himilayan sea salt and 16 ounces of water. I drink half of it first then when I get up and it puts a “pep in my step” . After my workout I usually guzzle the rest of it.
Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. Oh my gosh. There are so many moisturizers out in the marketplace and we are constantly being bombarded with the latest and greatest craze. Here are a few of my favorites. For my face I am currently loving Tula Day and Night cream and their eye stick is amazing. For my body at night I love jojoba oil which you can read about here and here. Last but not least, I use CeraVe for my body during the day. One of my favorite things to do is mix a little Jo Malone bath oil in with it as my base fragrance scent for the day.
