Childfree Influencers To Follow Now

It has been nice to see a generation younger than me talk about being childfree so openly. When my husband and I were trying to have children in the mid-1990s no one talked about it. It was expected that once you were married children were the next addition to make your family complete. Today there are so many “voices” about not having children. These ladies don’t label themselves as childfree influencers, however, they do spread the message about living a childfree life in their own unique way.

I wanted to do a round-up of childfree influencers because today we are seeing younger generations make the choice more frequently than when I was of childbearing age. Having several perspectives when you are contemplating a decision like this is healthy in my opinion. So, if you know someone who is grasping with this decision or has made this decision please pass this along to them.

Before I introduce you to the childfree influencers I recommend following here other posts I have written about the lifestyle.

Introducing Childfree Influencers I Recommend Following

I remember reading posts about choosing a childfree lifestyle by a couple of these ladies a few years ago. It was then that I started to open up and write/talk about it more myself. I thought hats off to them that they feel so confident in their decision that they are willing to share their very personal decision with others.

Childfree Ladies To Follow

So without further ado, here are some ladies that I feel have a great way of expressing their decision to be childfree.

Grace Atwood, The Stripe

Grace Atwood is one of the OG influencers in my mind. She has been blogging for many years, has an amazing private Facebook group, and for a while also had a podcast. I love that her website is for stylish bookworms. By the way, her book reviews and recommendations are amazing. She is a voracious reader.

I love that she has such spunk to call herself a PANK (Professional Aunt, No Kids). You can read her story why she has made the choice to be childfree.

Her blog is The Stripe and you can follow her on Instagram as well. She does some great videos with her furry kids.

Jessica is a 30-something single blogger and influencer who recently moved from Atlanta to New York City. She also runs a group called The Blog Societies. That is where I met Jessica a few years ago. She kindly sent me her thoughts on being childfree.

I don’t think there was ever a point in time that I decided I didn’t want children. For me, I just never felt the pull or urge to do it. And the older I get, the more I think I really don’t want them based on my current lifestyle, and also seeing what my mom’s friends go through, it’s not an easy role to play. It’s a lifestyle that just simply doesn’t interest me for the most part. While that may change in the future, as of right now, I’m feeling confident in the decision.

When people ask me why I don’t want to have children, I simply tell them, it’s not something I ever felt an urge to do. I don’t consider myself non-maternal, I think just the opposite actually. But I think that can be satisfied in other ways. Through having a pet, relationships with friends, and their children. I just have never wanted to be pregnant, care for babies, toddlers or teens, it’s just not something that has interested me.

You can follow Jessica on her blog, An Indigo Day and on Instagram where she talks about all things from a millennial perspective.

Jennifer Lake is a Chicago-based workfluencer and blogger. As a workfluencer she juggles blogging/influencing with a full-time job in communications.

Her story is a beautifully written one. I love the fact that she talks about how it was a decision that the two of them made. The photo above indicates that they put a lot of thought and consideration into telling their story and their decision.

You can follow her on Style Charade, as well as, on Instagram.

Alle Pierce, Gals Abroad Getaways

Alle Pierce is a former TV news reporter. She now curates bespoke trips for small groups of self-identifying, independent women. You can tell that she loves being on camera and taking you along for trips of a lifetime. I can only imagine how much fun her trips are with the energy and creativity that she embodies.

Her travel groups are made up of women who want to live life on their own terms, just like she does. She doesn’t write about being childfree, yet she weaves her decision to live the life that she always dreamed of on social media. This post is the most beautiful capture of her and sharing her perspective on being childfree.

You can follow her and find out more about the amazing trips that she organizes on her website, Alle Abroad. She is also on Instagram where she takes you along to amazing places.
