Best Strapless Bras For Petites: Big Or Small Chest

Finding THE strapless bra of your dreams is not easy. I know that I have personally gone thru many strapless bras. By the end of the evening, I am ready to donate them or just throw them in the trash. Some just feel like the cups are gaping and too big as soon as you sit down. Others feel like they are going to slide down your body as soon as you raise an arm. Does anyone else relate to that?
So with warm weather on the way and wedding season, I thought I would round up some of the best strapless bras for petites. Before we dive into all things strapless bras there are a couple of things I would recommend.
- If you haven’t had a proper bra fitting in the last year, then do yourself a favor and schedule one. A good-fitting bra makes all the difference in how you look in your clothes. It can make you look thinner. If you are local to the Atlanta area, then I would recommend Annabella Fine Lingerie. Nordstrom is the other place that I would recommend. Their bra department usually has well-trained staff. You can use their store locator here to find the one nearest you.

What to Keep In Mind When Shopping For Strapless Bras
I recently went to see my friends at AnnaBella Fine Lingerie to get some pointers on strapless bras. These ladies know their stuff when it comes to bras. They have all sorts of tips and tricks to make sure that you not only have a properly fitting bra, but also a comfortable bra.
Here are a few fit tips when it comes to strapless bras that they go over with clients.
- What brand of bra do you normally wear? Find a brand and stick to it. Yes, if a brand’s regular bras fit you well, then try their strapless version first.
- You want to make sure that your strapless bra has a wide band in the back. That will make it more comfortable and stay in place better.
- When you are trying on strapless bras sit down. Most likely when you are wearing it you will be up and down so you want to make sure it is comfortable and that you aren’t overflowing the cups when seated.
- Strapless bras are going to have molded cups. You just have to try several on to find the one that fits your chest the best.
Bras Good for Busty Petites
As a busty petite (I wear a 30DD on the tightest closure), there are certain brands that are my go tos when it comes to bras. Here are three brands that work well and make strapless bras for busty petites.
Marie Jo
Marie Jo is always one of my favorite brands for great balcony and tshirt bras. The Tom strapless bra is made in a bandeau style with a thick band in the back for comfort. What is nice is the detachable straps are made so that you can attach them to wear over the shoulders or around the neck as a halter.
Fantasie
Fantasie is a brand that is designed by Walcoal Europe. The brand has been around since 1951. They are known for their sophisticated styles that offer effortless support and comfort. Bras are available in band sizes 30-44 and cups sizes B-JJ. They offer two styles of strapless bras, the Aura and the Smoothing Strapless. Both are very reasonably priced and well made.
Panache
Panache is known for all of their D cup plus lingerie. I love thier motto that “Every Woman Deserves A Bra That Fits”. Their sports bras are actually my favorite to wear for all activities.
They have two styles of strapless bras. The Evie is a balconnet style strapless. The Elan is a 3 piece padded cup that offers great coverage and lift.
Simone Perele
Simone Perele bras are some of the prettiest bras in my opinion. They are designed in France. This tshirt bra of theirs is always on repeat for me in the summer.
They have a few styles of strapless bras. The 3D strapless tshirt bra is a favorite of mine. What’s nice about both their Essential strapless and the Karma is that they are both plunge strapless bras.
Prima Donna
The mission of Prima Donna is to make fashionable lingerie that offers unsurpassed support and comfort to women with large cup sizes. This brand offers two styles of strapless bras, the Divine and the Figuras. The Divine is a contour tshirt style cup and the Figuras is bandeau style with nicely padded cups.
Bras Good For Small Busted Petites
Below are some brands that offer smaller band sizes and smaller cup sizes.
Marie Jo
Marie Jo is always one of my favorite brands for great balcony and tshirt bras. The Tom strapless bra is made in a bandeau style with a thick band in the back for comfort. What is nice is the detachable straps are made so that you can attach them to wear over the shoulders or around the neck as a halter.
Wacoal
Wacoal’s strapless bra, Red Carpet, gets accolades about how supportive it is and how well it stays in place.
bTempted by Wacoal
btempted makes even smaller cup sizes that are great for petite women. They make three different styles of wirefree strapless bras. The Future Foundations strappless bra comes in a regular bra style as well as a longline low back version. The b.enticing style is the perfect strapless bra for open back tops bec ause the back band is made of lace.
What To Wear If Strapless Bras Don’t Work With Your Outfit
Sometimes no matter how hard we look for a strapless bra to go with a particular dress or top, it just doesn’t work. Never fear. There are two other products out there that every woman should have in her back pocket for those occasions.
Boob Tape
Yes, boob tape. You can get instant lift and control with boob tape. It fits any size of boob because you are cutting to fit.
Nippies
Yes, nippies are just that. Luxury nipple covers. What I like about this brand is that they come in 4 different colors so that you can match your skin tone AND they are sweatproof and waterproof. Hello, no more poke thrus in your bathing suit.

I have to tell you that I’m a fan of the boob tape. I swear it’s so much more comfortable that all of these traditional strapless bras. Seriously.
Of course, they aren’t all created equal. But I’ve tried out a couple (of course, I have) and plan to share one of these days.
