Scents and Feels of Fall – What’s on my Radar

The scents and feels of fall were truly with us this week in Atlanta. The cooler weather was welcome. Seems like we had a really hot and humid August and early September so this week has been just glorious in my opinion. As I write this my office window is cracked open so that I am getting a little fresh air and my fall candle is burning next to my screen. I hope that you have been able to enjoy the scents and feels of fall this week too.
As most of you know, our home is for sale and the plan is to downsize so I am trying not to bring new things into the house. The goal is to continue to get things out of the house. However, sometimes I just can’t help myself. All of us love to freshen things up from time to time. When it comes to things in my kitchen I am always a sucker. I thought it would be fun to put this board together for you to see some of the things on my radar screen.

Last week I just had to get out of the house for a while. Know that feeling? It was a pretty day so I strolled around Avalon for a while and this apron and these napkins just had to come home with me. I have already put them to good use. Plan to use the apron even more this weekend as I do a little baking. Can’t wait to make my favorite Apple Pumpkin muffins that I talked about in this post.
My plans are to get some baking done for my snacks next week. This is the time of year that I love to have a low carb muffin with my protein hot chocolate. My favorite fall mug (pictured at the top of the post) will be on regular rotation. The other thing on my to do list is to replace the begonias with some fall flowers.
Scents of Fall On My To Do List (and Tastes)
- Try a new fall cocktail recipe. Don’t some of these look wonderful.
- Make homemade applesauce. This recipe looks tasty and it’s in the crockpot. Can you imagine how good the house will smell that day.
- Make a trip to the North GA mountains for lunch and another apple shopping spree and see the beautiful leaves.
Have a great weekend!
Hugs,
