Joggers, why did it take me so long to give you a try?  Sometimes it takes me quite a while to try something new and trending.  I know what I like and what looks good on my body and it is just tough to go outside that box.  I think that most of us are that way once we hit midlife.  If you haven’t given them a whirl, I would encourage you to do so.  Today, I am just going to talk about comfy, cozy joggers.

2020 really changed the way that many of us dress.  We are home much more, but that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t look put together and snazzy.  Taking the time to get “dressed” is another form of self-love and selfcare in my book.  Right now all of us are in the need of some self care after the start of 2021.

What to Look for In a Pair of Joggers

Just like any pant, you  have to find a pair of joggers that is flattering to your figure.  Joggers come in so many styles and fabrics that there is one out there for you and your body type.

Here are some things to keep in mind

  • the drape of the fabric
  • the taper of the leg
  • the width of the waistband

What To Pair With Them

Let’s not think of our joggers as sweatpants or pajama pants.  We are looking for comfort here, but remember the goal is to still look snazzy while being comfortable.

  • Sweaters
  • Tees with a cardigan (length that is flattering to your body type)
  • Tees with a cute jacket
  • Cute sneakers or slippers if you are staying in ALL day
  • Don’t forget your accessories:  earrings, necklaces, bracelets.  Whatever sparks a little joy for you.

Thanks for taking the time to read this today.  Hope this was a nice little diversion from everyday life for you.  Right now, we are in need of those.  At least I know that I am.  I hope you remember to have a little “SASs in your day.

Hugs,

  1. Great suggestions, Beth. Until now, I’ve passed on the jogger trend, but I might finally give it a try. I mean Why Not? It looks like the trend is going to stick around awhile!

    1. I think they are here to stay for a while. I feel better in them when I put a little effort into the ensemble. They are great for the days you just sit at your desk or in front of the computer.
