It’s that time of year. Time to talk all things fall fashion. Along with fall fashion comes fall handbags. We all know that your shoes and handbag complete your look. So that is why we are going to talk about fall 2024 handbag trends.

Fall 2024 handbag designs are all about versatility and style. So whether you are looking for a great everyday bag or something to pull out for the evening there is a bag for you this season. Keep in mind that I always account for size and scale when I talk about all fashion items. My petite ladies, I always have your back with my suggestions.

Fall 2024 Handbag Trends

This year there are four silhouettes that you need to know. Now I know everyone loves to have their favorite black handbag. Me included. They are a workhorse for us. However, this season there are four other colors you might want to add in one of the silhouettes below. All of these colors are also neutrals, just like your beloved black.

Colors you will be seeing a lot of this fall when it comes to handbags (and fashion).

• Chocolate brown
• Burgundy
• Olive Green
• Leopard Print

A quick style tip as you peruse fall handbags. When you add a new handbag to your closet make sure you have a couple of pairs of shoes in mind that you plan to pair with it. That way you will feel confident that your look is complete from head to toe.

Fall Silhouettes

Shoulder Bag (Slouchy)

The shoulder bag is a great everyday bag. You can get plenty of stuff in it and you can usually find them with good closures. This season you are seeing them with a little slouch to them at the top. The bottoms are also structured.

If you don’t like the shape of shoulder bags on your body, bucket bags are still going strong as another shoulder bag option.

Tote Bags

Tote bags are still going strong this season. A good tote bag is so handy to have. You can get them in all sizes. From a nice small tote like this to carry regularly to an oversized tote that will come in handy for a weekend getaway.

I find myself reaching for my medium-sized tote from Cuyana on errand days. It’s so easy to tuck a return in them or small purchases. The other time I find myself reaching for my medium-sized tote is when I am off to an appointment and know that I can read a few pages of my current book while I wait. Oversized Clutches and Wristlets

Wristlets are small but mighty handbags. They can be used day or night. Yes, they tend to be small handbags. However, how often do you find yourself only needing your phone, ID, credit card, and lipstick? That is what the wristlet or the oversized clutch is for.

Depending on the style, they can be used for errand days or dinner out. If you need something for the evening that you would like to dress up more, then I would suggest a clutch with a chain. Top Handle (Lady Bag)

The top handle bag is a lady-like bag. The iconic fashion houses of Hermes and Dior make some of the most infamous top handle bags. This style of bag can take you from day to night. You want to be mindful of what your day is going to be like when reaching for a top handle bag. They are designed for you to carry them or put them on your forearm. Some will come with a chain that you can tuck inside if you want it to be a more versatile bag.
