Just add a few accessories, grab your handbag and you are out the door.
There are so many styles that can be flattering. From great tshirt dresses, to shirt dresses, to day to night dresses. We will take a look at all of these styles that can work for you all season long.

Spring Dresses You Will Reach for Again and Again This Season
Isn’t that the kind of dress that you just love to have in your closet. It is so comfortable and so you that you want to wear every chance that you get. That is what I look for in a casual dress. I bet that you do too. Hopefully I will help you find THE dress or two that you will fall in love with this spring.
Casual Spring Dresses to Wear Now and Into Summer
When I think of spring dresses I think of three different categories. Tshirt/Errand Running dresses, Shirt Dresses, and Day to Night Dresses. Living in the south, dresses are cool and once the humidity kicks in they don’t stick to you too much. If you have a good dress from each of these categories that you feel great in, then you have something to look cute in and feel great no matter the occasion.
Tshirt/Errand Running Dresses
I love a comfortably easy, breezy dress when the weather gets warm. Throw on a pair of sandals or white sneakers and you are off to the races for the day. Fabric that doesn’t show sweat or that dries quickly is always a good thing to look for. Once that summer humidity sets in you will be glad you looked for that feature. Here are some great dresses for this type of pulled together everyday look.
Shirt dresses are so versatile. They can be casual with flats or sandals or dressed up with a wedge during warm weather. This style of dress is available in various styles to compliment all body types. Trust me, you can find a style that looks great on your body. Once you find it, you will know and wear it on repeat.
Day to Night Dresses
The “day to night” dress term has been around for year now. It is a a dress that you could wear from desk to cocktails. Well, work dress codes have changed quite a bit since the 1980s. The term is still around because this type of dress is so versatile.
The premise is still the same. Swap out your accessories and shoes and the dress takes on a completely different look. It is always good to have one of these hanging in the closet that you feel great in day or night. So when you buy one, just play with the accessories. These are always great to have when you are traveling, even for pleasure.
Where To Shop For Great Casual Spring Dresses
I am just going to be honest. Finding dresses in store is not something that I have much luck with as a petite. Letting my fingers do the scrolling and adding to cart just seems easier these days. Most websites even have the ability for you to search dresses by type such as day dress, casual, cocktail, etc. which makes it even easier. That why I always swear by knowing your measurements and shopping that way. I even wrote a blog post about it that you can read here. You can just order in a few to try and what doesn’t work, just send back.
So where are some my favorite places to shop for casual spring dresses:
- Abbey Glass
- Sail to Sable
- Draper James
- J. McLaughlin
They always have a great selection in a wide variety of price points. That is something else I love about shopping online for anything is that you can set your pricepoint so that you are not tempted by something that is out of your price range.
As always, thanks for taking the time to read this post. I hope that I provided you with a little inspiration for finding a great casual dress or two for this spring.
You can also find me on Pinterest and Instagram. I also send out a weekly newsletter where I share all sorts of things that come across my radar screen that I don’t share anywhere else. You can sign up for that here.
