Best Sun Hats To Protect Your Face From The Rays

When we think about summer outfits and style our mind immediately wanders to sundresses, shorts, sandals, and sunglasses. What about some fun sun hats to protect your face and add another dimension to your summer style? Not only do they add a little extra pizazz to our outfits, but they also add another layer of protection from the sun.

Yes, we know that we should wear our sunscreen 365 days a year regardless of rain or shine. The sun hat helps us add another layer of protection to the face, neck, and decollete. Another good reason to embrace a cute sun hat is to help hide humidity hair. If you are like me, your fine hair won’t hold a curl no matter how much product is on it. Others have the opposite and they turn into one big curl. Either way, hat hair may just be the way to go.

If you are like me and concerned about staying safe in the sun and still want to look good I’ve linked some other posts that I think you might find helpful.

Sun Hats Protect More than Just Your Face From the Rays

Yes, sun hats to protect your face are always a great idea. Our faces are one of the first places that we show signs of aging. Preventing wrinkles and sun/brown spots is always a good idea. We also want to do what we can to keep other harmful damage to our skin at bay.

Not only do hats protect our faces, but they also help keep the sun off of our necks, decollate, and our hair. If you are like me, I spend time and money keeping all of the above looking its best so let’s protect those investments of time and money with some cute hats.

The good thing is that there are so many styles of sun hats in the marketplace that there is one that will look fantastic on you regardless of what your day brings. It’s always a good thing to get a good checkup at the annual dermatology appointment. Here are some great tips from the Skin Cancer Foundation to prepare for that all-important full-body skin check.

  • covers your scalp

Types of Sun Hats

There are lots of choices and styles of sun hats for us to choose from these days. You can easily find sporty styles that are perfect for the tennis court, hitting the links, or going for a walk. There are the classic wide-brimmed hats if you want to add a little mystery to hide behind and do some people-watching.
