Womens Comfy Loafers You Will Love To Wear
As soon as the air turns crisp, I find myself reaching for shoes that feel just as good as they look. For me, that is always a pair of comfy loafers. They are the perfect in-between shoe. Always easy to slip on when you want something a little more polished than sneakers but not as structured as boots or heels. As a petite, I especially love how loafers can create a sleek, lengthening line when paired with the right outfit.
I also love the versatility of loafers. They work with just about everything. YOu can wear them with jeans, trousers, skirts, and casual dresses. The will instantly add a touch of sophistication without feeling fussy. They are the kind of shoe you can wear on repeat all season long. The good thing about them is that you know you will look put together and feel comfortable from morning to evening.

Womens Comfy Loafers You Will Wear On Repeat
Loafers are one of those iconic shoes for women. They are a timeless style statement that can be dressed up or down. A shoe style that you can wear year-round. However, you see them more frequently in the fall and winter. They are just such a versatile shoe for fall fashion.
Women have been wearing loafers since the 1930s and 1940s. The first loafers for women were described as shoes with low heels that did not have laces or buckles. Women wore them as part of their modern casual and professional wardrobes. In the 1950, the penny loafer became popular and a part of every woman’s wardrobe. Today women should have a pair or two of comfy loafers that they can enjoy in their wardrobe.

What To Look For When Shopping For Loafers
Comfort and style are always equally important when shopping for any style of women’s shoes. Here are a few things that you want to pay close attention to when you are shopping for loafers. They are timeless shoes so you want to make sure that you can enjoy them for many years to come. Heck, let’s even have the goal of them being so comfortable that you can walk many miles in them.
Fit
Loafers should fit snugly on your feet, not tight. You don’t want them slipping on your heels when you walk. It is best to try loafers on at the end of the day. That is when your feet are their largest.
Material
Leather and suede are good material choices for loafers. That way they can mold to your feet. Remember that suede will stretch a little more than leather. I always recommend buying the best quality leather you can find for your budget.
Sole
You want a sturdy and flexible leather sole. That way the sole will offer comfort and durability. Quality loafers can be made to last so you can always resole them if you need to.
Cushioning
Today many designers have added cushioning to their footbeds. Sometimes offering extra cushioning at the ball of the foot or the heel. It is always something to look for. Whenever I order a new pair of loafers that is the first thing I check. How much cushioning is in the shoe?
Arch Support
Sometimes you can find loafers with built-in arch support. That can add to the comfort. If you need arch support in a flat shoe like this you can easily add supports like these.
Take all of these things into consideration when buying comfy loafers. When it comes down to it each of us has a unique foot so what fits my foot comfortably may not fit yours comfortably. You shouldn’t have to “break in” your new shoes and they definitely shouldn’t give you blisters. My rule of thumb is to walk around and sit in new shoes for a few hours in my home before I decide if they get a permanent spot in my closet. That is why I always look for free shipping when I am ordering. Makes it so much more convenient.
Comfy Loafers You Will Love To Wear
This list is a combination of comfy loafers that I own and wear regularly and styles that have been around for years. You will recognize the names of most of these. When it comes to loafers I recommend having a good pair of brown or black loafers. Depends upon what you like better with your clothing choices. Beyond that, it is fun to have a pair of leopard loafers or a great fall hue like hunter green, burgundy, or red.
Once you find “the comfy loafers” that you and your feet love, you might want to get a second pair in another color. That is always my motto with a shoe style that I wear frequently. There are three styles of loafers that I feel are worth mentioning for this post. Two are very classic and timeless and the other is more on-trend.
Classic Loafers

Classic loafers are just that classic. That great slip-on shoe that we reach for over and over. The first pair that comes to mind is Weejuns which G.H. Bass introduced in 1936. Yes, they are still making that same style today.
Then came the other iconic Horsebit loafer by Gucci. These shoes are a wishlist item for me. However, I would probably wait until I travel to Europe to purchase them. Those who wear them swear by this luxury loafer for comfort and longevity. If you like the look of this loafer but want a more reasonably priced one this bit loafer gets great reviews.
My little feet love loafers from Margaux and Sarah Flint. They fit my feet like a glove, never need breaking in, and their cushioning is great.
Here are some great classic loafers to choose from for this fall.
Driving Loafer
The driving shoe is synonymous with leisure. It is a more casual and oh-so-comfortable loafer. These look great with a pair of jeans and a button-down shirt. Tod’s made this shoe famous in the 1970s and they have been going strong ever since.
A neutral tone is a must in the wardrobe. However, try them in a fun, bright color or pattern. The classic driving shoe doesn’t have logos or hardware and remember that these shoes look great aged.
When it comes to driving loafers the company for a great quality shoe at a good price point is M.Gemi. This is the brand of driving loafers I own and love. They always have a great variety of colors in suede and leather. Trust me you will enjoy wearing this pair of comfy loafers.
If you haven’t tried a pair of driving loafers I encourage you to do so. They get softer and more comfortable every season when you pull them out.
Lug Sole Loafer

The lug sole loafer is a newer style of loafer. I finally bit the bullet last year and tried this trendier version. It took me a few tries before I settled on one I liked for small feet. Most lug sole loafers are so chunky that they appear too heavy for me. I am happy to report that this black, chunky comfy loafer is now a favorite. It is comfortable, has amazing padding, and gives me a little height as a petite woman. The price point does not break the bank since and this is the latest version of that loafer. It seem as if this style is here to stay for a while since brands like Bass are making their iconic loafer into a lug sole style. You can also find them in waterproof styles and even Rothy’s is making a version of them.
Here are some lug sole loafers for this season.
