Work From Wherever Wear For Fall

These days it seems as if we need work from wherever wear.  The last year and a half have changed the way that so many work.  Who knows if and when we will ever go back to work in the same environments as before.  Some days are spent at home, maybe it’s a meeting here or there in person, or some days you may be like me and just go to a coffee shop where you can sit outside and do a few things.  A change of scenery can be so invigorating.

The last 15+ years I have had the privilege to help so many women with their professional wardrobes.  The focus was on classic pieces for the office and travel if that was part of their job.  Things that they could mix and match and know that they easily had something that they would look and feel great wearing and wouldn’t be out of style next year.

I miss these visits with clients who have become friends.  Now we don’t meet in person.  We talk and they order online or I send them links and they order online.  So whether you are that professional woman who is now spending most of her days at home or a person who just likes to look nice and put together I have scoured and put some things together for you for this fall.

My office is not complete without a great candle and vase of fresh flowers.  This small vase is perfect for a small bouquet and this candle is amazing for fall.  Your room will smell amazing.

Work From Wherever in Style

It seems as if this last year women have really embraced certain changes to their wardrobe and it will be interesting to see how that affects what they do wear if and when we are back to the office on a full time basis and flying the friendly skies again for work. That being said I wanted to focus on pieces that are wearable for work and for casual weekend style. Changing up the style of top along with your accessories can give you a completely different feel and vibe.

Pants for Working From Wherever

When I think about pants that are comfortable for sitting in for hours at a time a few boxes have to be checked off.

  • Side zip or Elastic waist.
  • Lots of stretch in the fabric.
  • Washable.
  • Doesn’t look like I’m in my sweatpants.
  • Color other than black. (We already have so much of that.  Time to go outside that box.)

So here’s the pants that make the cut.  I did my best to find different leg openings so that you can find the cut that you are most comfortable with and that you find flattering on your figure.

Tops for Your Work From Wherever Style

Who would have ever thought that Zoom calls would be so frequent in our calendars?  Color is key when you are on screen.  Honestly I also prefer a good solid or a very small pattern.  You want your top to enhance your features and not have everyone trying to figure out what pattern you are wearing.  Again, I wanted to find things that were washable.  Remember that many things can be washed even though they say dry clean only.  Check out my post on my favorite closet must haves.  It includes some amazing laundry products that will help you with that.

A stylist taught me years ago to ask myself the question when trying on something…..do others see me first or what I am wearing?  It is the best trick out there.

Now, here’s some great blouses and sweaters for this fall.  They will be something that you can wear for seasons to come.

Shoes That Are Great for Working From Wherever or Play

Who else has had to get the dust off of their pumps and high heels lately?  Do you remember how to walk in them.  I really do believe that women’s feet are happier now than they have been for years.  Seems as if we are embracing lower block heeled shoes, loafers and tennis shoes now.  Yes, you can so make all of these styles of shoes look totally professional.

As you may know, I am a Brand Ambassador for Sarah Flint shoes which I swear by for comfort.  She has built her empire on her Perfect Pumps, but she has some great loafers and block heeled pumps.  You can shop these by going to www.sarahflint.com and you can get $50 off your first purchase by using my code SARAHFLINT-BABETHF when you check out.  Trust me, your feet will love this treat.

Now for some other options such as tennis shoes and slippers.  Yes, I said shoes that look like slides, but they are really slippers.  We don’t have to tell any of your friends and neighbors, I promise.

Well, I hope this helps you as you are in the mood to purchase some tings to freshen up your fall wardrobe.  It’s not always about whether or not we need things, but sometimes it’s just nice to get a little refresh and a new pair of comfortable slacks or a top in a great color can go a long way to lift our mood on a work day and make us more productive.

THANK YOU

Thanks for taking the time to read this.  I really appreciate you taking the time out of your day to do so.  It means the world to me.

The text that is underlined and shows up in a different color is usually a link to another blog post that I have written, another site, or a product.  The links to a product are affiliate links.  What that means is that if you click on a link to a product and make a purchase, Sassy for Short (a.k.a Beth) gets a small commission at no extra cost to you.  The same goes if you click on any of the pictures to get more information about a product.  I really appreciate you supporting the brands that make it possible for me to keep this blog going!  Another way that you can help support me on this little adventure of mine is by sharing my posts with a friend or if you have a Pinterest board, saving one of my photos to your board.

Remember to always have a little SASs in your day.

Hugs,
