Most people think of this store as being so high-end that they can’t afford to shop there. However, you will find many of the same brands that you find at other major department stores.

Wardrobe Classics To Add To Your Closet This Season

I love having great wardrobe classics in my closet. You know the pieces. The ones you reach for season after season. You can always add an updated accessory or shoe so that they look fresh and make you feel oh so chic.

Here are some things that would be great additions to any petite woman’s wardrobe.

Dresses

When it comes to petite friendly dresses I find that Veronica Beard and Milly work for me. Sometimes with no alterations. You can see me in Milly here, and Veronica Beard here. It’s always good to have a great dress ready when that invitation comes. Especially a good black dress. This gold tweed dress is amazing for the holiday season or any time that you want to sparkle a little without the sequins. This simple silk cowl neck dress is swoon-worthy.

When it comes to dresses that are more work or tailored I really lean to Theory. Their dresses are always more tailored and tend to be solid colors that you can really accessorize to make it your personality. This tweed combo dress is great for fall and early winter (or all winter if you live in a mild climate). This sleeveless dress is great to have for multiple seasons.

Skirts

Skirts are just great closet essentials in the fall and winter. A sharp wool skirt and sweater paired with tights and boots. You are ready to take on the day. Slip skirts are so popular and I am really liking this wool slip skirt for winter months. Oh, how it would be on repeat when it’s cold outside. A tweed mini-skirt is always a good go to. Love it when it has subtle multiple colors in it like this one. That way you can pair it with your favorite colored sweater.

Shoes/Boots

This time of year we are reaching for our favorite sneakers and loafers for more casual looks. I think I found the perfect brown penny loafer this year. Another great color to add for this winter is a cream loafer. A chunkier or retro sneaker is also a must for the cooler months paired with jeans or joggers.

Boots are a must once the cooler weather is upon us. Not only do they keep our toes warm, but they can be the finishing touch to complete a winter look. When you are petite and have short legs the struggle can be real. The boots below are brands that I own and wear and work for my short legs.
