Wrapped Up for Fall

Well, we started the week wrapped up for fall. Just as the calendar said it was the first day of fall, Mother Nature listened and we had the most glorious fall weather. Cool breezes, no humidity….what more could you ask for. It was definitely time to dig out lightweight wraps and jackets. I was so glad that I was able to find mine. Most of my fall and winter shoes and sweaters that are still packed away from the move. That’s another project that is on the “to do” list this week.
Now that we are able to walk to a few places for drinks or dinner in the evening a wrap is the answer to what I need to stay warm. A wrap or scarf is a great way to elevate a pair of jeans and a nice tee like I have done here. You don’t have to be dressed up to reach for these. This is actually what I wore to dinner the other night. It was perfect once the sun went down.
How to Be Wrapped Up for Fall
Whether you are looking for for something really casual to wear out to the pumpkin patch this fall or if you want a nice one to have to add some pattern or texture to a casual look to wear to dinner there are some great ones out these this fall. The other option that you might want to give a whirl again is the poncho. A layer that is perfect for fall and early winter here in the south.
I know that many people don’t really like a wrap or shawl because they feel like they are always having to fuss with them. Here is a great article that illustrates many simple ways to wear one so that you can stay warm and not have to worry about messing with your look. Sometimes the simpler the look, the better.
I shared some of my favorite scents of the season last week which included some really tasty recipes. You can click here to see what I’ve been cooking.

Thanks Katherine. A wrap is such a great light layer for fall especially here in the south.

I swear a scarf like this can be so useful for any time of the year. I’ve been wearing one as a sarong when we go to water aerobics!! And when we travel, I always take two with me on the plane. One to keep warm and the other for a pillow.
