Living Coral

Living Coral is Pantone’s Color of the year. Any variation of coral always makes me think of warmer months and the beach. Coral is made of red and orange can be soft and warm or vibrant. Living Coral pairs beautifully with navy, teal, white, and beige (neutral). I love to have various shades of coral in my arsenal depending upon my mood and how tan I am.
Do you like to wear coral? Here’s a quick read behind the psychology of the color coral.

Coral clothing is not always something that everyone feels comfortable wearing. Since that is the case, I thought I would find some beauty products that you can use this season. Our toes and lips are the easiest ways to incorporate Living Coral this year.
My first stop in the hunt for coral nail color was Butter London. I carry a bottle of their polish with me to every pedicure appointment. This year they paired with Pantone to create their Patent Shine 10X Nail Lacquer in Living Coral. What a score for me. I ordered it immediately.
Now on to lipstick. I have always had some favorite coral/orangey colors in my makeup drawer. I pulled out a couple of Laura Mercier colors that are my summer “go tos”. Regulars in my lipstick rotation are Mango and Palm Beach. I pair them with the Laura Mercier Grapefruit lip pencil. Sometimes I will also add a lip gloss to give me a little extra shine.
Fresh Sugar Coral should be in your handbag or in your desk for daytime wear if you prefer a lighter coverage. Their lip balms are absolutely amazing and come in great colors.
My very white toes and ankles are in the main picture. It is time to break out the self-tanner.
Happy Wednesday
