How to Wear Leopard Print as a Neutral

leopard skirt worn as a neutral

This leopard print skirt is my favorite new neutral in my closet. Since it is a neutral I have come up with oh so many ways that I want to wear it. You are going to be seeing me in this one many times this summer so I hope you like leopard.  Also, I hope to inspire you to find ways in your closet to style leopard for yourself.

Leopard print comes in all shapes, sizes and colors these days. The very neutral brown, tan, and black like I have on is probably what comes to mind when you think of leopard print. You can also easily go “outside the box” with that and opt for so many other colors. I prefer a smaller print like I have since I have a smaller frame. Big prints are not my best friend.

As I was writing this post, I came across a cute article that talks about incorporating leopard print into your wardrobe. Whether you are a beginner or a pro at wearing this print, this author has some great tips and suggestions.

Now let’s talk about what I chose to pair the leopard print skirt with for drinks and dinner. This red linen blouse is from Boden. It is a great lightweight piece to have around when you are going to be in airconditioned spaces. To give it a more casual vibe, I tied it at the waist and rolled up the sleeves. A pair of espadrilles and a small wicker bag (not pictured) and I was ready to be out the door and on the way to dinner.

Ok, ladies it is time to get this weekend started.  I hope that you have some lovely plans this weekend.  I know that mine includes a little book time by the pool.

Here’s to a relaxing weekend.
