Old Man Winter decided to return this week. Here in the south we don’t get hit like many other parts of the country, but there can be some cold, damp days that are just downright bone chilling. When the cold breezes started blowing I thought it was a good time to talk about one of my favorite classic coat styles…the peacoat. The coat that I am wearing is not only a classic piece, but an investment piece in my opinion.
I chose to purchase a red peacoat versus the true original navy blue a couple of years ago. One of my favorite brands of winter coats is Fluerette. Their styles and colors are always timeless classics. The fabrics are so luxurious and plush too. I am linking this year’s version of Fluerette’s peacoat. As you can see it looks almost exactly like mine, but just different color selections.
To finish off any coat one always needs a great scarf on hand. When I saw this Burberry scarf I knew it had my name on it. Black, red, and camel….three colors I love to wear. Black gloves and boots are always the final pieces for a cold winter’s day outing.
I want to focus on these booties for a moment. They are by Aquatailia and from last year. Not only do their boots fit my feet “like a comfy glove”, but they are waterproof. I took these on a trip to Europe last winter and walked forever in the wind and rain some days and stayed warm and dry. Here’s a similar pair from this season.
Here’s to staying warm and still looking SASsy,
